Southern Sydney Clubs Unite to Give Back Over $2.7 Million
A new local ClubGRANTS advertising campaign, which has kicked off in the past week, highlights how clubs in southern Sydney are making a powerful impact — not just within their venues, but across the communities they serve.
Through the ClubGRANTS program, 31 local clubs have donated more than $2.7 million in the past year to support grassroots initiatives, charities and vital community services.
From funding junior sports teams to providing meals for those experiencing hardship, these contributions are helping to build stronger, safer and more connected communities.
Among the many organisations supported in the last year that are highlighted in the new ClubGRANTS campaign are:
- Removals for Hope, which offers practical assistance to individuals and families fleeing domestic violence.
- Family of League, which supports members of the rugby league community with financial, emotional and social assistance.
- Beyond the Badge, which helps former first responders transition into new careers after service.
“Through the ClubGRANTS program, clubs in southern Sydney are proud to be helping to make our community a better place to live,” said Brian Cloney, ClubsNSW Southern Metropolitan State Councillor.
The campaign will feature a 60, 30 and 15 second ads across Broadcast Video On Demand (BVOD) and pre-roll video, YouTube and social media.

ClubGRANTS is one of Australia’s largest and most established grant programs, and is a partnership between ClubsNSW and the NSW Government. It commenced in 1998 to formalise the longstanding practice of clubs responding and contributing to local community needs.
In 2024, over $120 million in grants for community services, projects and programs was provided through the ClubGRANTS program - that figure exceeded the mandatory contribution required under the ClubGRANTS Guidelines by $47 million.
