New England Tablelands Clubs Help Regional Families Reach Life-Saving Care
The latest ClubGrants advertising campaign highlights the contribution of clubs across the New England Tablelands, with a particular focus on supporting emergency medical transport services that help regional NSW families access vital healthcare when they need it most.
For families living in regional and remote communities, accessing specialist medical care can mean travelling hundreds of kilometres from home. Whether it's a child needing treatment at a major hospital or a patient requiring urgent medical transport, the distance can be both challenging and costly.
That's why registered clubs across the New England Tablelands have come together through ClubGrants to support organisations providing vital medical transport and emergency response services, contributing more than $180,000 in the 2025 Gaming Year to help ensure families can access the care they need.
Clubs contributing to these important services include Gunnedah Golf Club, Narrabri RSL Memorial & Citizens Club, Inverell Returned Servicemen's Club, Lightning Ridge District Bowling Club, Moree & District Services Club, South Tamworth Bowling Club, Armidale City Bowling Club, West Tamworth League Club and Tamworth Services Club.
The funding is supporting organisations including Little Wings, Northern NSW Helicopter Rescue Service, Gunnedah Volunteers of Northern NSW Helicopter Rescue, Wings4Kidz, and the Royal Flying Doctor Service's Lightning Ridge Sub Branch. Together, these organisations provide critical transport, emergency retrieval and community health services that are often a lifeline for people living in regional and remote New South Wales.
The advertising campaign will be delivered across a mix of geo-targeted marketing channels throughout the New England Tablelands region, including:
- Thirty-second radio ads during breakfast programs across key regional stations in Tamworth, Armadale, Inverell, Gunnedah Narrabri and Moree
- Print advertising in the local Armidale Express newspaper.
- A combination of organic and paid social media activity.
Several clubs have directed funding towards Little Wings, which provides free air and ground transport for seriously ill children and their families, helping them travel to and from specialist medical treatment. Other clubs have supported Northern NSW Helicopter Rescue Service and local helicopter rescue volunteers, ensuring emergency retrieval services remain available when every minute counts.
Additional funding has been provided to Wings4Kidz, which assists children and families travelling long distances for medical appointments, and the Royal Flying Doctor Service's Lightning Ridge Sub Branch, helping deliver essential healthcare services to some of the state's most remote communities.
The funding highlights the important role local clubs play in supporting the health and wellbeing of their communities. Through ClubGrants, clubs continue to invest in projects and services that address local needs, helping ensure people in regional NSW can access support and care, regardless of where they live.
By backing organisations that provide life-saving medical transport and emergency response services, clubs across the New England Tablelands are helping remove barriers to healthcare and making a meaningful difference for families when they need support most.
