Member clubs are advised that, further to Circular 26-289, the wage rates under the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award 2020 (the Award) increase from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2026.
New Award rates
The new rates of pay for employees under the Award can be downloaded from the ClubsNSW website, here. The new wage rates and historical wage rates can be found in the Workplace Relations Handbook, here.*
All clubs with enterprise agreements will need to ensure that the minimum or base rates of pay in their enterprise agreements are at least equal to the relevant rate in the Award as increased from 1 July 2026.
High income threshold and unfair dismissal cap
Please note, the new high income threshold and unfair dismissal compensation caps take effect from 1 July 2026. These rates will increase to:
- High income threshold: $ 191,797
- Unfair dismissal compensation cap: $ 95,898
Payday Superannuation
From 1 July 2026, clubs will be required to pay superannuation guarantee contributions for employees on each payday, with contributions generally required to be received by the relevant super fund within 7 business days after payday, subject to limited exceptions. As part of these reforms, a number of other changes will also commence from 1 July 2026. For further information, please refer to Circular 26-052.
