The Australian Government is looking to update the National Code of Good Practice for Australian Apprenticeships.
The Code, which is a two-page document, helps employers, apprentices and trainees understand their roles and responsibilities.
The employer section of the Code includes details on meeting legal obligations, providing a safe work environment, supporting structured training, offering supervision and support, and informing apprentices of their roles and responsibilities.
The apprentice part has information on being aware of and committed to fulfilling work and training responsibilities.
Clubs are encouraged to provide feedback on the Code by 31 July 2024 through a 15-minute survey here.
A preview of the survey questions can be found here.
Your feedback is welcome, even if you aren’t familiar with the Code.
