Is Your Club Working Towards a Compliant Gambling Incident Register?
From 1 January 2025, clubs must ensure that their gambling incident register meets the new format requirements.
Under the Harm Minimisation Measures, clubs with gaming machine entitlements have been required to have a gambling incident register in place since 1 July 2024.
The gambling register needs to be kept in either:
- A new incident register bound book, or
- Any digital register, provided that the form and manner of reporting is consistent with the requirements published on the Liquor and Gaming NSW (L&GNSW) website. The current requirements for digital registers can be found here.
L&GNSW released new versions of the bound book and digital register in May 2024, with a grace period for a club to transition to these new versions by 1 January 2025.
Clubs that are still using previous versions of a bound book or a digital register must ensure they are working towards having one of the two approved formats of the gambling register implemented by 1 January 2025.
If you have any questions, please contact L&GNSW on 1300 024 720 or at [email protected]. Alternatively, clubs can also contact ClubASSIST on 1300 730 001 or at [email protected].
