Update on Facial Recognition Technology and Third-Party Exclusions Consultations
As members have been advised, the NSW Government has released consultation papers on Facial Recognition Technology (FRT) and state-wide third-party exclusions in clubs and hotels. If you would like to read the article you can access it here.
Liquor & Gaming NSW (L&GNSW) has included online surveys on the consultation pages. We again encourage all members to participate in the surveys available on their website and accessible here and here. You can respond to the surveys until Friday, 28 March 2025.
As mentioned previously, ClubsNSW is preparing thorough responses to both consultations in order to provide L&GNSW with a clear understanding of clubs’ perspective on these matters.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for being so involved in the consultations and for providing us with great feedback on the proposed changes.
We conducted several calls and received numerous emails with your important perspectives on both FRT and state-wide third-party exclusions.
Your feedback is extremely valued, and we made a point to consider every comment you provided and included it in our submission when appropriate.
If you have any further feedback on the introduction of FRT in clubs and on the state-wide third-party exclusions, don’t hesitate to reach out to the ClubsNSW Policy & Government team via email at [email protected].
If you have any questions, please contact L&GNSW on 1300 024 720 or at [email protected]. Alternatively, clubs can also contact ClubASSIST.
