What is the Live Performance Venue Accelerator Program?
The LPVAP, developed by the Office of the 24-Hour Commissioner, aims to grow live performance venues in NSW by connecting them with industry experts and providing funding for essential equipment, startup programming, and marketing costs.
Round One has already provided funding of up to $80,000 to successful applicants to purchase or upgrade essential equipment to deliver and promote live performances.
The LPVAP aims to grow the number of live performance venues in NSW by connecting venues with experts and offering funding for essential equipment.
Focus of Round Two
Round Two offers skill-building workshops specifically designed for small-to-medium hospitality venues. The LPVAP provides participants with the requirements for staging a long-term live performance program.
Successful applicants will receive:
- A free acoustic appraisal of their venue
- A series of skill-building workshops delivered by industry experts
- Networking opportunities
- One-on-one coaching from subject matter and industry experts.

How to Apply and Eligibility
To apply, venues must:
- Have a maximum venue capacity of 300 patrons.
- Be a NSW registered business.
- Be an existing registered club, bar, brewery, café, hotel/pub, restaurant, or winery.
- Offer food and/or beverages on-premises.
- Operate at least twice per week after 5pm.
- Have the necessary approvals (development consent) for live performances.
Application tips
The Office of the 24-hour Economy recommends the following tips to assist with applications:
- Watch the online information sessions, available here.
- Prepare responses in a Word document before completing the online form.
- You must complete your application in one session and it cannot be modified after submitting.
- Allow up to 60 minutes to prepare and submit responses.
- Upload a photo of the proposed performance space (optional).
