How Your Club Can Get Involved in the World’s Fastest Growing Sport
Do you want to bring the fastest growing sport in the world to your club — the sport that Pat Rafter, Pat Cash, Lionel Messi and many others have fallen in love with? Pulse Padel is here to help!
Key Points
- Padel Tennis is a fun, social sport that is easy to pick up — but hard to master.
- Pulse Padel was founded by an occupational therapist and an internationally ranked player who wanted to help the sport grow in NSW.
- Pulse Padel can provide capital expenditure, build the Padel Tennis facility and the skills to run it — all a club needs to have is some space.
What is Padel Tennis?
The popularity of Padel Tennis is growing at a rapid pace — and famous faces around the world are beginning to take notice.
Overall, the game is a combination of lawn tennis and squash. It combines the skillsets from both sports and creates something that is easy to pick up, regardless of age or ability. It provides great physical and mental stimulation as people play more regularly and develop their skills.
Padel Tennis is a sport primarily played as doubles, so it is much more social and inclusive than tennis and provides a better utilisation of space. One tennis court may have two people playing whereas the same space can fit three Padel Tennis courts with 12 people.
Australian tennis legend Pat Rafter is excited to be a part of the Padel Tennis movement.
“I am really looking forward to joining up with Padel Australia to help spread the word of a game I really enjoy playing. I will compete in a few events back here in Australia and who knows where it will take me,” Pat said.
What is Pulse Padel?
Pulse Padel was founded by occupational therapist Sophie Missen and accountant Oliver Quarry, who also happens to be an internationally ranked Paddle Tennis player.
Sharing a love for Padel Tennis, as well as the mental and physical health benefits it provides, the two set out to find sites to set up Padel Tennis clubs that are accessible in terms of location and price.
Pulse Padel want to make community the heartbeat of Padel Tennis clubs — a place where everyone feels welcome, from top quality players to people just wanting more exercise in a fun and social environment. The organisation will work with charities, local councils and occupational therapists to develop programs that serve your club members and the wider community.
Pulse Padel and Clubs
If you have space available and want to add Padel Tennis to your club’s offering, Pulse Padel can provide the capital expenditure required for the courts, the skills and team to run the facilities, and will share the profit with you.
Pulse Padel are ideally looking for sites with at least 650 square metres to be able to build three Padel Tennis courts. The addition of these courts to your club will attract new members and guests, boosting existing revenue streams as well as creating new ones.
Australia is at the beginning of its Padel Tennis growth journey — so now is the perfect time to get involved!
