Vale Maureen Hutchinson, Former Club Mudgee CEO
The club industry and the town of Mudgee in the state’s Central West is mourning the loss of Maureen Hutchinson, a true veteran of the industry.
Maureen’s career in the industry spanned over 30 years, including recent tenures at Club Mudgee, where she was the CEO, as well as time at Gulong RSL and the Canada Bay Club.
Bathurst RSL CEO Peter Sargent shared the news of Maureen’s passing with great sorrow.
“On behalf of the CMA Mid-State Zone, I am deeply saddened to advise that our beloved friend and colleague Maureen Hutchison passed away last Thursday, 25 January,” Peter said.
“Maureen was well known and loved by many of us, having worked in the club industry for many years, most recently as CEO at Club Mudgee.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with her husband Neil, and her family at this difficult time.”
Maureen’s husband Neil also shared a heartfelt note via Club Mudgee CEO Andrew Lancaster, thanking the industry and industry bodies for their assistance and condolences. Neil also added that his wife was dearly loved by many and loved her local club.
The funeral service for Maureen will be held at 2pm next Tuesday, 6 February at St Mary’s in Mudgee followed by a wake at Club Mudgee.
“Maureen was a well-loved identity in our amazing industry,” Peter added.
“I’m sure many people will wish to attend to celebrate her life and contribution to our industry.”
