ClubsNSW Kick-Starts New Your Local Club Advertising Campaign
Monday, 22 January saw the launch of the new state-wide Your local club advertising campaign, kicking off with a 30-second ad on a variety of free-to-air TV channels across the state, as well as Broadcast Video on Demand (BVOD), Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD), online digital and social media.
From early February, the campaign will also include advertisements on the side panels of buses right across NSW.
The creative concept is built around the core brand proposition of 'Your local club — where we belong' and highlights the unique experiences that clubs provide. In total, there will be three 30-second TV ads, focusing on the themes of love, friendship and celebration, as well as six 15-second ads — one cut down version of each of the above as well as ads centred on veterans, sport and Christmas.
The TV ads will each feature one of four different renditions of Perry Como’s much-loved hit Magic Moments. The ‘Your local club — where love belongs’ ad is the first in market, running this week and then again in the days leading up to Valentines Day. Other executions will be launched to coincide with significant dates throughout the year, including ANZAC Day, major sporting events and Christmas.
The ads will communicate to various audiences — members, non-members, affiliates, politicians, community organisations and other stakeholders — the connection that the people of NSW have with their local club. Whether it’s their go-to destination for live entertainment and family celebrations, the place where they hosted their wedding reception or 40th birthday party, or simply the spot where they enjoy a meal each week or catch-up with their friends over a game of barefoot bowls — clubs hold a special place in everyone’s heart. Your local club is where everyone feels they belong.

ClubGRANTS Campaigns and Industry Advocacy
Separate to the brand work, our ClubGRANTS awareness campaigns are already in market (you can view them here). These ClubGRANTS ads are being run in a very targeted manner, telling local stories to local people. For example, our campaign in the Macarthur region highlighted three clubs and their $600,000 donation to Greg Page’s Heart of the Nation organisation, helping to install 200 life-saving AEDS in the community. This campaign alone has been viewed more than 300,000 times on Facebook and was supported by ads on 2GB, bus backs and in venue.
Finally, there will also be targeted advocacy campaigns running across radio, print and social media channels which will highlight the community contributions that clubs make. These advocacy campaigns will use real-life examples of those who have benefited from club contributions — such as a family who relies on Little Wings to transport their sick child to Sydney for medical treatment or someone who has had their life saved by a local surf life saver.
