Celebrating Community Giving on the Central Coast

Friday, 8 September was a special day for Wyong Leagues, with the club group holding an event at their Avoca Beach Bowling Club to present cheques to the worthy organisations who had successfully applied for funding through the ClubGRANTS scheme.

The Group extended its appreciation to the recipients of the grants for being able to play a part in the great work that they do in the community, telling the audience they were thrilled to be able to provide support to those who do so much to improve the circumstances of those in need within the community.

From the applications received, the Group was able to provide grants to 37 deserving projects and programs, representing a donation of $232,689.

Wyong Leagues Group is a part of the Central Coast Local Government Area (LGA) ClubGRANTS program. In this program, the Group forwards 25 per cent of their total grant pool, and by working together with the other local clubs in the region, contribute to larger projects. This year, Wyong Leagues Group contributed $88,515 of the total pool, taking their overall contributions to the ClubGRANTS program to just over $321,200.
