I have memberships to two of my local clubs and I can count on one hand how many times I have visited them in any given year.
The clubs have a gym, a pool, different food offerings with food discounts and kids’ activities, plus they’re pet friendly and have so many different entertainment options.
Yet still, one hand for 365 days, across two venues, and I question whether it still represents good value. I might not need to use any of the facilities all the time, but they are all available when I need them.
After having just returned to ClubsNSW, it seems like an apt opportunity, in my capacity as the Manager of Member Experience, to take stock of what we offer to our members.
Like the offerings at my local clubs, the value is clearly there. In fact, the value has always been there and I would argue that it always will be there.
Whichever part of the membership journey you’re on, it’s our job as member organisations to ensure you are informed. It’s up to us to articulate the benefits of our individual memberships — whether it be a simple reminder to our members of the services on offer as part of the membership, or explaining to a new member club, director, manager or other worker what we can do for you and where you can best gain value from membership.
As we move towards the latter end of 2023, ClubsNSW is shifting its focus to ensure you, our members, remain at the centre of everything we do and that we become the best we can be for our members.
To get the best out of any membership, whether that be at a local club or your membership to ClubsNSW, I think it’s fair to say we all need to get involved!
