Member clubs are advised that ClubsNSW is proud to announce a new group of community partnerships supporting the delivery of the Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Pillar within the Social Impact Strategy.
These partnerships have been intentionally structured to combine expert guidance at a national level with practical, community-based support, ensuring ClubsNSW and clubs have both the knowledge and the tools to respond in a meaningful way.
Our approach
Addressing domestic and family violence requires both prevention and response. This approach brings together:
- An expert partner to guide education, awareness and best practice
- Community partners to provide practical, on-the-ground support for those who need it most.
This ensures clubs are supported not only in building understanding and capability, but also in accessing trusted services and resources that can assist individuals in real and immediate ways.
Our partners
- Our Watch (Expert Partner): Providing national leadership and evidence-based guidance on the prevention of violence against women, supporting a consistent and informed approach across the industry.
- DV Safe Phone (Community Partner): Providing secure, refurbished mobile phones so victim-survivors can safely access support services and stay connected.
- Escabags (Community Partner): Delivering discreet emergency packs with essential items for individuals leaving unsafe situations, offering immediate support at a critical time.
- StandByU Foundation (Community Partner): Providing safety solutions that connect individuals to trusted support networks and emergency assistance.
What this means for clubs
These partnerships are designed to support clubs in practical and accessible ways, including:
- Access to trusted, specialist organisations aligned to best practice
- Improved referral pathways to safely connect individuals with appropriate support
- Availability of practical resources and services that can be used within clubs or local communities
- Increased confidence and capability in responding to DFV in a safe and responsible way
- Opportunities to support meaningful initiatives that align with community needs.
Together, this creates a more consistent, supported approach across the industry, while recognising the important role clubs play as safe and connected community hubs.
Further information, including how clubs can engage with each partner, will be shared in the coming weeks.
Thank you for your continued commitment to supporting safe and inclusive communities.
