Wenty Leagues Uniting Community for Emergency Services Day
Wenty Leagues is gearing up to host its annual Emergency Services Day – a free community event offering a behind-the-scenes look at the critical work of first responders.
The family-friendly showcase will take place from 11am-2pm on Sunday, 14 June in the Club’s front car park, featuring live demonstrations and interactive displays by NSW Police, NSW Ambulance, Fire and Rescue NSW, State Emergency Service (SES) and St John Ambulance.
Part of the Club’s Heart of Wenty initiative, Emergency Services Day aims to foster deeper understanding and appreciation of local heroes. Attendees will have the unique chance to ask questions, explore rescue vehicles, test equipment, win prizes and learn skills used by first responders.
As well as the people who protect and serve the western Sydney community, crime-fighting children’s characters Donatello and Leonardo from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise will be on hand for photos.
Due to popular demand, bookings to meet the Ninja Turtles are essential – click here to view session timings.
Kids can also have their face painted for a gold-coin donation, with all proceeds supporting Holroyd SES’s ongoing emergency response, recovery efforts and community preparedness programs.
“Wenty Leagues looks forward to welcoming families for a day of learning, connection and celebration as the community comes together to recognise its everyday heroes,” the Club said.
