The start of the NRL season is always highly anticipated, and with the kick-off taking place in Las Vegas once again, the excitement is higher than ever. 

With registered clubs already the prime destination to experience live sport and entertainment, hosting an Official NRL Vegas Watch Party will put your venue front and centre on Sunday, 1 March 2026.

Last year, 22 selected clubs across the state brought the Vegas energy to life — and this year all registered clubs are invited to host an Official NRL Vegas Watch Party.

Your Guide to Hosting an Official NRL Vegas Watch Party 

This campaign is all about creating an unforgettable experience and the ultimate destination for footy fans. There are endless ways for your club to bring the excitement to life on Sunday, 1 March, but let’s start with the essentials.

1. Show the game live and loud on the big screen/s

This is a non-negotiable for watch parties! Big screens help set the game-day energy. Make it an experience by decking out this area of the club in Vegas or footy-themed decorations and utilise the exclusive NRL-branded collateral that you’ll receive as an Official NRL Vegas Watch Party host. 

2. Themed food and drink specials

American-style favourites like hotdogs, loaded fries, juicy cheeseburgers and chicken wings are the ultimate game day snacks, perfect for bringing that Vegas atmosphere to your club. Add themed cocktails to the mix and make it even better with exclusive food and drink specials for your members!

3. Generate some buzz

Start promoting your event early by spreading the word to your members through social media, EDMs, newsletters, in-venue signage and your website. Clubs who have registered as an Official NRL Vegas Watch Party host now have access to exclusive NRL-branded assets to promote their event.

4. Consider live entertainment

Set the vibe on game-day with some live music before kick-off (bonus points if it’s Vegas-themed!). Alternatively, NRL-themed raffles, trivia or interactive competitions and ball games can add another level of excitement to the day.

Patrons who visit a participating club on game day can test their NRL knowledge for the chance to win one of two trips for two to NRL Vegas 2027 (T&Cs apply).

More Ways to Level Up Your Official NRL Vegas Watch Party

We’ve covered the essentials for your watch party, but why stop there? The following ideas are completely optional, but they will add that little bit of magic to create a truly standout experience.

1. Organise a visit from a local NRL legend

If you have the resources, organising a current or former NRL legend to visit on game day and host a live Q&A or meet and greet is a great way to drive patrons into your club! You could even raffle off a signed jersey.

2. Have an MC host your event

An MC can keep the excitement at a high all day — they’ll interact with your patrons, keep the event running smoothly and bring the energy. 

3. Get your staff involved

These events are always more fun when everyone can participate. Have your staff wear their favourite NRL team’s jersey — or Vegas-themed outfit — or run an internal footy-tipping competition to get staff excited for the event.

4. NRL-themed in-venue activations

Create an engaging in-venue activation for members. Think a photo backdrop or themed props they can share photos of on social media and tag your club. If you have the space, consider adding an outdoor game or interactive activity where patrons can play to win venue vouchers.
