Chris White has been announced as the new Chief Executive Officer of Alt. Hospitality Group, whose venues include Club Central Hurstville, Club Central Menai and Georges River Sailing Club.
The new CEO is no stranger to the club group, having been an integral part of the organisation for the past 17 years — first joining in 2008 as Gaming Manager, before becoming Group Operations Manager and then Chief Operating Officer.
President Brian Cloney said the Board was proud to appoint a leader whose history and achievements were deeply rooted in the organisation’s growth.
“The Board is proud to be able to promote from within our executive team and give Chris this opportunity,” said Brian.
“His past service to the group, operational knowledge and leadership style will stand him in good stead to take on the role.
“Chris understands where we’ve come from and has a clear vision for where we’re heading.”
Chris, whose club career began at Wentworthville RSL as a glassie between 1992 and 1995, said he looked forward to working with the team to continue the past successes of the club group.
“I’m honoured to have been part of Illawarra Catholic Club for the last 17 years and seeing it develop into what it is today,” he said.
“To lead this great organisation is the highlight of my career and something that my family and I are immensely proud of.
“I look forward to working with the Board and senior leadership team to grow our business and ensure we remain a proud part of our communities.”
Chris will oversee the group’s diverse portfolio of clubs, hotels, dining venues and event centres, with a strong focus on stability, culture, long-term sustainability and a continued positive impact on the communities it serves.
