Goulburn Workers Embarks on Major Renovation Project
Goulburn Workers Club has set its sights on the future, commencing a major redevelopment project that will transform its offering for members and the broader community.
CEO Brett Gorham says the six-month build has already begun, with hoarding installed and at the time of writing, final approvals are close to being secured.
“We’re just waiting on the construction certificate, but the oversight should happen within the next fortnight,” he says.
“It’s exciting to finally be underway.”
The project is ambitious, involving the purchase and integration of the adjoining retail premises to expand the Club’s footprint.
“We’re moving into the neighbouring property to increase our back-of-house and motoring facilities,” Gorham explains.
“There’s been a lot of consolidation and behind-the-scenes work to get to this point.”
Members and guests can look forward to more than just additional space. A fresh dining offer will be introduced as part of the works, along with a refurbishment of areas that were overdue for attention.
“There was an area of the Club that really needed some TLC,” Gorham says.
“This redevelopment will allow us to deliver something new and exciting for our members.”
The project has been carefully planned, with design renderings prepared and timelines in place. Gorham says the Club is looking forward to sharing more details as the build progresses.
