Nelson Bay Golf Club Launches Modern New Golf Shop

The modernised space was unveiled at a grand opening event on Tuesday 15 July, giving members and guests an exclusive first look at the upgraded design and amenities.

Designed by Transform Golf Specialists and delivered with the expertise of local tradespeople and suppliers, the revitalised Golf Shop reflects the high standards of Nelson Bay Golf Club’s renowned clubhouse and course. 

The project underscores the Club’s commitment to continually enhancing the golfing experience while supporting the Port Stephens economy.

“This new Golf Shop is more than a facelift—it’s an investment in the future of our club and the golfing experience we offer,” says David Lulham, General Manager of Nelson Bay Golf Club. 

“From the moment members and guests arrive, we want them to feel they’re part of something special, and this new space helps deliver on that promise.”

The upgraded shop features:

• A modern, open-plan layout improving accessibility and customer flow
• Enhanced product displays for an engaging retail experience
• A dedicated food and beverage station for convenient refreshments
• Professional club repair and fitting facilities
• Upgraded staff amenities and storage
• Improved ventilation and air conditioning

The project was completed on time and with minimal disruption to members, thanks to the Club’s temporary retail operation during the construction period.

Nelson Bay Golf Club extended sincere thanks to members, staff and visitors for their patience and support, and invites everyone to experience the new Golf Shop—designed to elevate every visit to the Club.

This comes after Nelson Bay Golf Club’s “Bay Buddies” program, which has significantly increased female patronage, was recognised regionally and was a finalist in the 2025 ClubsNSW Clubs & Community Awards for Fostering Grassroots Sport.
