At-Risk Gambling and Hospitality Staff Training
ClubSAFE has released its latest training module — At-Risk Gambling and Hospitality Staff. This program is designed to help club staff and management understand the unique risks employees face working in a gaming room, and how to effectively identify, mitigate and protect against at-risk gambling behaviours.
Often at-risk and safer gambling discussions focus on the patrons who use gaming machines. However, it is essential to recognise that those working in and around gaming environments also face unique risks.
Staff, peers and managers must be well informed, aware and equipped to identify and manage these risks — not only for others, but for themselves.
The At-Risk Gambling and Hospitality Staff training course provides insight into how to identify early warning signs — both for individuals and their colleagues.
By the end of this training, staff and management will have a deeper understanding of what at-risk gambling in the workplace looks like, how it develops and why hospitality staff may be at a higher risk of being impacted.
Participants will gain practical strategies for managing gambling-related risks in the workplace, learn to recognise early warning signs of at-risk gambling in themselves and others, and understand how to respond appropriately.
By promoting awareness and encouraging a proactive approach to gambling harm minimisation among employees, clubs can foster a safer, more supportive working environment.
This training reflects ClubSAFE’s ongoing commitment to assisting clubs in creating a safe and responsible environment.
All ClubSAFE members interested in completing this training should send an email to the ClubSAFE team at [email protected].
