Creative Marketing Ideas for Your Perfect Plate Dish
The Perfect Plate Awards campaign is back and bigger than ever, offering clubs across NSW a golden opportunity to showcase their culinary talent and attract new patrons.
With each passing year, the campaign gains momentum, and this year’s edition is set to be the most exciting yet.
To help your club stand out and make the most of this opportunity, we’ve compiled a range of creative marketing ideas to boost visibility, drive foot traffic and encourage votes for your Perfect Plate dish.
Getting People to Your Club
Great Content is Key
Invest in high-quality visuals. A professional photo of your dish can make all the difference on social media. Consider filming a short interview with your chef to share the inspiration behind the dish, highlight key ingredients and give patrons a behind-the-scenes look at your kitchen.
Boost Your Social Media Reach
If your budget allows, use paid social media boosts to expand your reach. Target local audiences to attract new followers and potential voters.
EDM Campaigns to Members
Send out an engaging email to your members featuring your Perfect Plate dish, with voting instructions and an outline of the prizes up for grabs for diners. A well-timed email can drive both awareness and foot traffic.
Staff Incentive Program
Word of mouth is one of the most powerful marketing tools. Encourage your staff to invite friends and family to try the dish and vote. Consider offering small prizes or incentives for staff who bring in the most votes.
Once They’re in the Club
In-Venue Creative
Make it easy for patrons to vote. Use the QR code collateral available on the Perfect Plate Portal and display it prominently — on menus, tables, digital screens and registers. You could even update your menu to include the 2025 Perfect Plate Awards logo and your unique QR code.
The Offer: Incentivise Voting
Let your patrons know what’s in it for them! Voters have the chance to win daily $100 dining vouchers and the two diners who vote for the most Perfect Plate dishes will win one of two Foodie Escapes for Two valued at up to $3,500. (*T&Cs apply.)
ClubsNSW Marketing Support
This year, ClubsNSW is offering incredible marketing support to promote participating clubs and the broader club food industry. A powerful paid media campaign is running across major radio stations like 2GB and SEN, ensuring wide exposure. Plus, celebrity chefs Courtney Roulston and Matt Moran, as well as Nathan Hindmarsh, are back as ambassadors for the competition and are visiting clubs and casting their votes — bringing star power and excitement.
Participating clubs are also featured on the official website, PerfectPlate.com.au, which includes an interactive map to help patrons discover and visit your venue.
If you need any additional support, please email [email protected].

Voting is open now until Sunday, 15 June.
