Greg Roberts Joins Mulwala Waterski Club
Longstanding Murray Downs Golf & Country Club CEO Greg Roberts will depart at the end of the year to take up a new role with the Mulwala Waterski Club.
Mulwala Waterski Club President Matt Holgate says the Board is delighted that Greg will take up the Chief Executive role on Monday, 6 January 2025 — a position left vacant by retiring CEO Peter Duncan.
“Greg brings a wealth of experience in the club, accommodation and hotel industry, having held numerous senior management positions ranging from Marketing Manager to General Manager and Chief Executive Officer,” says Matt.
“Most notably, Greg has successfully led the Murray Downs Golf & Country Club for the past 16 years, where he made significant contributions to the Club’s growth and success.
“Greg’s extensive background in the industry, along with his familiarity with the Murray River region, makes him the ideal choice to lead our Club into the future.
“His leadership style and vision align perfectly with our values and goals, and we are confident that he will build on the fantastic work done by Peter Duncan.”
Greg says he’s thrilled to be joining the Mulwala Waterski Club and that it was a difficult decision to walk away from his current role.
“It was the toughest decision of my working career because of the high quality of the people I work with here at the Murray Downs Golf & Country Club, having been here for 16 years,” Greg tells ClubLIFE.com.au.
“It’s been a transformational change at this venue to now having one venue in NSW and another in Victoria.
“The opportunity at Mulwala was too good an opportunity to pass up. I’m really looking forward to sinking my teeth into the new role, settling into the community and being there when the Club hosts the 2025 World Water Ski Show Championships.”
Matt says the Mulwala Waterski Club Board undertook an extensive search to find the best match for the Club’s future and that they have selected a candidate who will “not only continue our progress, but also bring new and exciting opportunities” to the Club, its members and wider community.
“As we look forward to a new chapter under Greg’s leadership, we also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Peter Duncan for his years of dedicated services,” says Matt.
“Peter has played a pivotal role in shaping the success of Mulwala Waterski Club and we wish him all the best in his well-deserved retirement.”
