Back to Business
After two-and-a-half incredible weeks overseas with my family, I’m back in club land feeling refreshed, recharged and ready to tackle the last few months of the year… there is plenty to be done! But before I could get onto that, I was reminded (yet again) as I flew into Sydney at 5:30am on Wednesday morning how lucky we are to live in this amazing country.
A big thank you to the ClubsNSW leadership team for holding the fort, and to our Chair, Sallianne, for keeping you all updated in my absence whilst she was also travelling around the state to attend several industry events and meetings — including last weekend, where she was at Dubbo RSL for the Central West Regional Meeting. The photos from the 1960s/1970s-themed networking dinner are very groovy indeed, it looks like everyone had a great night.
Speaking of great events, a huge congratulations to Club Taree CEO Paul Allen and his team for raising more than $190,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities during their 10th le Tour de Taree fundraiser, which wrapped up late last week. After last Friday’s world-wide cyber incident, otherwise known as CrowdStrike chaos or the largest IT outage in history, cyber safety is front of mind like never before. So, next week ClubsNSW will be releasing a handy webinar series that covers all things cyber security, based on advice from the Australian Cybersecurity Centre. Keep an eye out! There will be plenty more to come in this space.
