Footy Legends Confirmed to Attend Official NRL Vegas Watch Party at Your Local Club
Your local club is hosting the Official NRL Vegas Watch Party this year, thanks to a unique partnership between ClubsNSW and the Australian Rugby League Commission — and several rugby league legends will be in attendance to keep the crowds entertained.
On Sunday, 2 March clubs right across NSW will welcome members and guests to watch the 2025 NRL Premiership kick off, with four games of footy and plenty of fanfare throughout the day.
In addition to hosting the Official NRL Vegas Watch Party this year, Your local club will have 22 special event hubs set up around the state — from Tweed Heads to Tamworth. ClubsNSW CEO Rebecca Riant said for those who can’t make it to NRL Vegas this year, Your local club will be the next best option.
“We are so excited about this partnership. I encourage everyone to get down to their local club on Sunday, 2 March to enjoy everything that the Official NRL Vegas Watch Party has to offer — from great prizes and delicious American-style food to photo opportunities with legends of the game and fun competitions,” said Ms Riant.
“Whether you’re watching the event with your family or your mates, Your local club is the perfect place to celebrate the beginning of the NRL season without missing out on any of the action.
“Plus, keep an eye out for our friends at 2GB and the Sports Entertainment Network, who will be broadcasting their shows live from several clubs on the day!”
NRL CEO Andrew Abdo said Las Vegas 2025 will be bigger and bolder than ever.
“Last year we were blown away by the excitement and atmosphere created by fans across the country as they gathered together with family and friends to watch the season opening round in Las Vegas,” Mr Abdo said.
“If you can’t be there in Las Vegas, there are some great events for the whole family to enjoy at local clubs across New South Wales that will offer a great atmosphere and fun experience for fans.”
Laurie Daley, rugby league legend and Official NRL Vegas Watch Party ambassador for Your local club, said the event is destined to become a highlight on sporting calendars for years to come.
“Just like the Super Bowl and more recently The Everest, NRL Vegas is set to be one of the biggest annual sporting events — the hype around it will just keep on building,” said Mr Daley.
“I can’t think of a better host for the Official NRL Vegas Watch Party than Your local club — the relationship between clubs and the game of rugby league is very natural.
“The club industry pours tens of millions of dollars into elite and grassroots rugby league every year, making the sport more accessible for kids right across the state and helping to create a pathway for promising young players. Clubs also provide a social hub for fans of the game to come together in celebration of their favourite team, so this partnership makes perfect sense.”
