ClubGRANTS Campaign Drives Great Results in the Newcastle and Hunter Region
Clubs across the Newcastle and Hunter region have been highlighted in the sixth iteration of the ClubGRANTS advertising campaign, which has recently come to an end.
The campaign shone a light on the huge support clubs in this region gave to Got Your Back Sista, a Newcastle-based charity that empowers women and children to thrive after escaping domestic violence situations.
Last year, seven clubs in the area gave over $47,000 in ClubGRANTS funding to the local charity, which helped provide one-on-one case management to more than 50 women, and assisted eight families through their Begin Again program.
The local area advertising campaign ran over a period of six weeks in and around the Newcastle and Hunter region, with advertisements appearing across Broadcast on Demand Video (BVOD), online pre-roll video, bus panels, social media and local radio stations.
The videos were delivered to over 406,000 people which generated 1700 unique clicks to the ClubGRANTS website. Pleasingly, this result was around 140 per cent higher than the campaign benchmark.
On top of the video performance, the bus panels in the area were seen by 144,000 people over six weeks. The campaign also delivered 165 commercials on the local radio station Triple M.
Domestic violence is unfortunately a key issue plaguing Australia at present, and the ClubGRANTS advertising campaign series aims to illustrate the incredible support that NSW clubs provide in this critical area of focus. Thank you to the seven Newcastle and Hunter Valley clubs for their incredible support of Got Your Back Sista:
- Belmont 16s Sailing Club
- East Maitland Bowling Club
- Club Maitland City
- Mex Club Mayfield
- Toronto Workers Club
- Toronto Diggers
- Wests City
ClubGRANTS is one of Australia’s largest and most established grant programs and is a partnership between ClubsNSW and the NSW Government. It commenced in 1998 to formalise the longstanding practice of clubs responding and contributing to local community needs.
In the past 12 months, a record $121 million in financial support for community services, projects and programs was provided through the ClubGRANTS program — that figure exceeded the mandatory contribution required under the ClubGRANTS Guidelines by over $50 million.
