In a bid to help families tackle the cost-of-living crisis without sacrificing social outings, Ballina RSL is running a new campaign to make dining out more affordable.
After launching in May, the Club’s Connecting Our Community initiative will extend throughout June as rising costs for everyday essentials and fuel continue to impact households.
Alongside value-packed food and beverage deals, the campaign highlights the crucial role clubs play in bringing people together with inclusive spaces, quality entertainment and respite from day-to-day stresses.
“We know we can’t solve every challenge, but we can look at what we can do within our own Club to help,” Ballina RSL CEO Guy Diven said.
“Connecting Our Community is our way of offering practical value, keeping people connected and making those everyday moments feel a little more achievable.
“People still want to meet a friend for coffee, take the kids out for dinner, celebrate a birthday or enjoy a simple meal with people they care about. At times like this, those moments matter.
“We are all in this together, and this campaign is one small way we can support our community.”

Ballina RSL is currently offering:
- $50 family meal nights
- Daily $22 specials and $16 seniors meals
- $10 coffee and cake
- $6 kids meals
- Extended happy hour across lunch and dinner.
“These additional specials are about keeping those everyday moments within reach — good food, good value and a welcoming place to spend quality time together,” Ballina RSL F&B Manager James Rogers added.
The campaign complements Ballina RSL’s popular Kids HQ, a dedicated space where kids can play for free while their parents or caregivers soak up the Club’s relaxed atmosphere.
“For many families, it is not just the cost of the meal that matters. It is whether the whole outing feels easy, welcoming and worthwhile,” Mr Diven said.
