Warners Bay Sports Club Celebrates 70 Years
Preparations are well underway for the Club’s historic 70th anniversary celebrations, to be held over the weekend of 11 and 12 October.
The festivities will feature bands on the green, a food truck and plenty of cheer, with a large local turnout anticipated.
The inaugural President’s versus Vice-President’s Bowls Match will take place on the Saturday, and is intended to become an annual event.
Inside the clubhouse, guests can enjoy displays of memorabilia, photographs and stories showcasing seven decades of growth and achievement in the sport of bowls.
Pennant flags will be displayed along the fence line, creating a colourful backdrop and sparking conversation among senior members.
The day will conclude with a cake-cutting ceremony and brief speeches, bringing the celebrations to a festive close.
Warners Bay Sports Club President David Kent says a heartfelt thanks goes to everyone at the Club - including the Board, management, caterers and members for their invaluable contributions to this milestone occasion.
