Santa is Coming Early to Blacktown

Blacktown residents will be able to hear those sleigh bells ringing this Sunday, with the Workers Lifestyle Group's annual Christmas party kick-starting the festive season.

Last year’s event saw $15,000 raised for both Blacktown and Mt Druitt hospitals via the Better Foundation.

The Christmas party will be held from 10am to 3pm at the Blacktown Showgrounds, with the funds raised once again going towards improvements for the Blacktown and Mount Druitt hospitals’ children’s wards via the Better Foundation.

The free event offers rides, shows, a petting zoo, face painting, treats, gifts and food stalls. There will also be a very special visit from Santa and his friends.

The Better Foundation works with local communities and have so far raised over $2.4 million worth of vital funds for state-of-the-art equipment, world’s best practice research and advanced education for doctors, nurses and clinical staff.

This year through ClubGRANTS, the Workers Lifestyle Group will donate $100,000 which includes over $30,000 for asthma testing equipment, bedside bottle warmers for newborns and glucose monitoring sensors for people undergoing insulin therapies.

Workers Lifestyle Group is a longstanding supporter of the Blacktown and Mount Druitt hospitals.
