New NBC Sports Club Bus Boosts Community Connection
NBC Sports Club’s newest addition to the community — a brand-new courtesy bus — is set to make local transport easier and strengthen community ties.
NBC Sports Club has unveiled its new community courtesy bus, made possible through funding from the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership grant program.
The new vehicle will not only transport Club members but also assist local groups and residents who rely on safe, reliable transport to stay connected.
The official unveiling took place on Wednesday, 5 November, and was attended by Mark Taylor MP – State Member for Winston Hills, Councillor Georgina Valjak (LIB) from the City of Parramatta, Darren Thornton – CEO of The Doylo Lifestyle Group, and Anthony Twomey – President of The Doylo Lifestyle Group, along with other guests and community representatives.
NBC Sports Club Venue Manager Frances Tawhara says the bus will make a tangible difference to both members and the broader community.
“We’re thrilled to have this new courtesy bus on the road. It’s not just a convenience for our members — it’s a resource for local groups and residents who rely on safe, reliable transport to stay connected,” says Frances.
The Community Building Partnership program funds local infrastructure projects that deliver social, environmental, and recreational benefits to communities across NSW.
NBC Sports Club has extended its gratitude to the NSW Government, Mark Taylor MP, and the City of Parramatta Council for their ongoing support and partnership in enhancing community accessibility and engagement.
