ClubsNSW Appoints First Female Chair
On the morning of Friday, 5 July, the ClubsNSW Board of Directors met and elected Sallianne Faulkner as the new Chair of the Association. This follows the decision of Dr George Peponis OAM to step down as the Chair of ClubsNSW on 28 June 2024 — he remains as a Director on the Board.
Sallianne said she is honoured and humbled to be elected as the first female Chair of ClubsNSW in the Association’s 104-year history.
“I have great pride in our industry and in our members who make a significant contribution to daily life and the wellbeing of their members in NSW. I look forward to continuing to make a positive impact working alongside my fellow board members and our CEO Rebecca Riant,” she said.
“On behalf of the Board and our industry, I extend our sincere thanks to Dr George Peponis OAM for his leadership and outstanding contribution to our industry throughout his time as Chair.
“I also extend my congratulations to Ron Coskerie on his election as Deputy Chair and look forward to working with him in our new roles.”
The Board also elected Ron Coskerie as the new Deputy Chair of ClubsNSW.
“Congratulations to Sallianne as the new Chair of ClubsNSW. I am equally honoured and proud to be elected to the role of Deputy Chair of ClubsNSW,” Ron said.
“I would like to acknowledge and say thank you to Dr George Peponis OAM for his leadership and contribution to our industry, and I am pleased he will remain on the Board moving forward.
“I am looking forward to working on behalf of the industry and our members to support the outstanding contributions that clubs make to our communities.”
The Board of Club Keno Holdings Pty Ltd (CKH) also met earlier today and elected Sallianne Faulkner as the new Chair of the company, and Ron Coskerie as the new Deputy Chair.
