ClubsNSW and PCYC NSW Partner to Empower Young People Across the State
ClubsNSW and PCYC NSW have formed a strategic partnership aimed at supporting young people across the state.
This two-pronged collaboration includes a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and a three-year sponsorship agreement for PCYC’s flagship event, Nations of Origin.
The partnership is built on two key pillars:
- Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
This agreement outlines how ClubsNSW and PCYC NSW will work together to support youth engagement, crime prevention, leadership development and community connection. It provides a framework for collaboration across programs, advocacy, fundraising and employee engagement. - Three-Year Sponsorship of Nations of Origin
ClubsNSW has committed to supporting Nations of Origin for the next three years. This annual event brings together over 1000 young people from diverse backgrounds to celebrate culture, identity and reconciliation through sport.
ClubsNSW CEO Rebecca Riant says the partnership reflects the industry’s deep commitment to community outcomes.
“You will see the Your Local Club logo on team uniforms at the Nations of Origin events for at least the next three years and we hope for beyond,” says Rebecca.
“In the last ClubGRANTS year alone, member clubs donated more than $500,000 to PCYC across NSW and we believe we can do even more.”
PCYC NSW CEO Ben Hobby says the partnership is a natural fit.
“I feel like we’ve just found the extension of our family,” he says.
“All the people within the clubs network are just like the PCYC network.
“We’re so thrilled and we want to offer our appreciation for all the clubs that already interact with PCYC right across the state — and we’re so thankful for your contributions. We couldn’t do what we do really without you.”
The MOU outlines several areas of collaboration:
- ClubGRANTS Support: ClubsNSW will assist PCYC in securing funding for youth-focused projects, while PCYC will acknowledge club contributions through media and reporting.
- Advocacy and Media: Both organisations will collaborate on positive media outcomes and policy engagement.
- Employee Engagement: PCYC will offer volunteering opportunities for ClubsNSW staff and ClubsNSW will promote workplace giving to support PCYC’s mission.
- Storytelling and Recognition: PCYC will provide case studies and impact stories for ClubLIFE and other platforms, showcasing the value of club support.
This partnership is a powerful example of how two community-focused organisations can align to create meaningful change. By combining resources, networks and shared values, ClubsNSW and PCYC NSW are helping young people across the state build brighter futures—on and off the field.
