Motivated by the prevalence of families impacted by cancer within the local community, Club Blacktown is taking part in March Charge in support of the Cancer Council.
The March Charge encourages participants to move throughout March while raising vital funds for cancer research, prevention programs and support services.
With cancer continuing to affect a significant proportion of Australians each year, the campaign plays an important role in funding the work needed to improve outcomes and support those facing a diagnosis.
Club Blacktown is proud to have already raised more than $5000 and currently sits as the leading workplace across the entire March Charge fundraising event. The result reflects the strong support across the broader community who have rallied behind the cause.
Ethan Dean, Chief Operating Officer at Club Blacktown, said the response had been inspiring.
“I’m incredibly proud of our team for getting behind this and taking on the challenge together,” he said.
“Cancer has touched so many lives and causes like this matter to all of us. To have already raised over $5000 for the important work of the Cancer Council is something we are genuinely proud of.
“We are motivated to keep pushing ourselves over the coming weeks and make an even bigger impact as a team.”
Club Blacktown encourages others across the club industry to get involved or support the cause. Donations can be made via the Club Blacktown fundraising page here.
