Bankstown Sports Raises $30,000 at Inaugural Charity Golf Day
Bankstown Sports Club has raised almost $30,000 for the Fair Fight Foundation’s SuperTee Project at their inaugural Charity Golf Day held at Bankstown Golf Club.
Held on Friday, 29 March, 24 teams of four took part in the four-ball Ambrose-style tournament, which was won by the team from Asahi Group - Carlton United Breweries.
This event was aimed at bringing the Club, its community partners and corporate stakeholders together, to support a common cause; raising funds for the SuperTee project.
The charity provides custom designed medical garments for children facing serious or long-term illness in hospital, to inspire strength, courage and imagination during their ongoing health battles.
Lunch on the day was provided by Bankstown Golf Club’s Italian Bistro, while Tahir from the hit TV show Fat Pizza was the Master of Ceremonies.
Funds raised through registration fees, hole sponsorships and a silent auction will go directly towards the purchase of SuperTee garments for the paediatric ward of Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital.
SuperTee CEO Jason Sotiris was incredibly grateful for the generous donation.
“We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Bankstown Sports Club for graciously hosting their charity Golf Day for SuperTee,” Jason says.
“Your support has been invaluable in bringing together generous donors and sponsors who are committed to making a meaningful impact in our community.
“Thanks to your hospitality and the collective efforts of all involved, we are able to support Bankstown Hospital paediatric ward with the provision of SuperTee medical garments, bringing comfort and courage to young patients in need.
“We deeply appreciate everyone's contribution to our cause, and we are inspired by the spirit of generosity and compassion demonstrated by all participants.”
Bankstown Sports thanked all of their corporate and community partners who sponsored holes, supplied drink carts and other items for the event.
