All Clubs Have a Story & We Want to Hear Them!
Year after year, the Clubs & Community Awards have showcased and highlighted the unique and often heartwarming initiatives driven by clubs.
This has provided opportunities to unite people from different walks of life and support those in the community doing it tough.
Be it a buzzing, multifaceted metro club, or a humble bowling club on the outskirts of a country town and all those scattered in between, each and every club has a story to tell — and we want to hear them.
The beauty of the submissions program is that we receive and find a vast spectrum of initiatives within each category. No two stories are alike, and regardless of the size or value of the initiative, they all deserve to be told — a few examples of past stories can be found below.
Entry into the Clubs & Community Awards has been made even easier this time around, with entrants required to answer only one question: “Tell us about your nominated club or individual and how their contribution has impacted the community. You may wish to outline details about key programs or initiatives and a timeline of events — including any developments made since their contribution/support began.”
Grab your colleagues and reflect on the projects your club has been involved in over the last financial year. Examples of these could include community festivals or food markets, school-based programs, in-club charity initiatives, golf charity days, medical or community support initiatives or cultural inclusion programs, just to name a few.
For those clubs eligible to participate in the ClubGRANTS scheme, there has never been a more important time to showcase how your club has worked with the recipients of grant funding to boost impact and community benefit.
To enter a submission on behalf of your club, visit the Clubs & Community Awards website. Submissions close on Friday, 1 March.
If you have any questions regarding submission, please contact ClubsNSW Event Manager, Kelli Lillyman, at [email protected] or call 02 9268 3000.
