Member clubs are advised that on 5 June 2026, Minister David Harris announced that licensed venues will be able to access extended trading for the FIFA World Cup.
Clubs state-wide can operate extended hours when they broadcast Australian group stage matches, the knockout rounds (16 and 32) and the finals.

ClubsNSW has worked with Liquor & Gaming NSW over a number of years to advocate for special events to be included in extended trading to support clubs.
